The North Korea Tech Lab is a new project between the Henry L. Stimson Center’s 38 North and Lumen that will serve as a digital hub of data, analysis and resources related to North Korea’s evolving technology landscape and its suppression of free access to information by its people.

We are building a team of technologists and NGOs working in the North Korean information access space to document, investigate, and analyze how technology is used by the regime to curtail human rights.

We are also investigating North Korea’s changing cyber capabilities, strategies, and tactics, and testing new and emerging technologies that may enhance the free flow of information.

Please consider making a one-off or recurring donation to support our mission. You can do this by donating cash or crypto to Lumen via the form below.
